Miami Marlins and reliever Ryan Webb agree to one-year deal, avoiding arbitration – South Florida

Right-hander Ryan Webb, the Marlins' lone arbitration-eligible player, agreed to terms on a one-year contract before Friday's deadline to exchange figures. Webb will earn $975,000, and can make an additional $10,000 if he appears in 67 games. Marlins Ink Josh Johnson

Coming back from Tommy John surgery, Josh Johnson pieced together 14 excellent starts and went 7-1 with a 3.61 ERA striking out 77 in 87.1 IP. Luckily, Johnson didn't come back for the full season, as it would have cost the Marlins even more.
