Reds whooped us last night 7-2. Tonight we face Mike Leake, 22 year old right. Haven’t seen him pitch myself.

Hanley leads off with a single. Nice way to start the game tonight.

Well, we get two on but score none. So good start turns to poo.

Sean West getting the start. Will be interesting to see how he pitches in his this start. Let’s see if he throws with confidence.

Rolen looks like Hitler from the CF camera

Stanton gets a single? A single? WTF is up with that?

So, last year the Reds took a Leake in the first round. That’s okay, Beinfest usually takes a dump.

That was a nice, nice play by Janish to get Helms. Gotta applaud that one even if made by the bad guys.

Gaby and Uggla – Dumb and Dumber. Edwin needs to sit both of them for the incredibly stupid approach at the plate in the 9th. That was inexcusable. Not even a special Olympics girls softball player could have done worse. Benched, and the Kangaroo Court should heavily fine each of them for not having the intellect of a slug. Those were perhaps the dumbest two back-to-back plate appearances in the history of the game.

Uggla in today’s Palm Beach Post:

“You have to be aggressive in those situations,” Uggla said. “It just so happened me and Gaby just missed those pitches.”

Uggla is 100% wrong. He can learn from LoMo. That situation called for patience and shrinking the hitting zone. Further, regardless of the game situation, against a pitcher like Cordero, you should always be patient and shrink the hitting zone as the odds are in your favor that he’ll give you your pitch – you don’t have to be aggressive and go after whatever he offers.

Sorry, MA. I went out with my parents to get some food. They were visiting. Looks like I didn’t miss much though!
