I am an NL fan and would love to see the DH aisebohld for the same reasons Sven gave above, that NL rosters don’t have David Ortiz’s on their squads. Some could argue that teams would re-approach their active rosters to accomodate the DH if used by both leagues, but to what end? Scoring a run or two more per game?Also, the pro-DH side likes to point to pitcher ineptitude when batting. And the main reason for that is that in the minors pitchers just aren’t given the opportunities to bat. Whenever an AL-affiliate rolls into an NL-affiliates’ park, the DH is used.Lastly I’d like to see the elimination of interleague play. If the Yankees can’t draw enough fans to sell out Great American Ball Park, how are the other AL teams going to? I just don’t think there is enough interest and MLB hasn’t created any new rivalries like they hoped they would.
