He should be better defensively, admittedly that is a short coming of his game. Still, he is better than Manny is defensively and just like you pointed out, there is no reason to make this move as we actually have a lot of depth offensively. Manny would have been a good PR move, but I would rather we spend time winning ball games on the field. I agree that this team is good enough to make noise in the playoffs. I haven't seen the pitching of late - still in Italy! But I suspect that this team is going to be a 2nd half team anyway. I still think Hermida is an all-star caliber OF in this league.
