Looks like the Marlins are continuing to add more depth to their roster – Ken Rosenthal reports the Fish have signed Rafael Furcal to a one year deal, pending a physical.
Sources: #MARLINS agree with Rafael Furcal on one-year contract, pending physical. Plan is for Furcal to be everyday second baseman.

With Adeiny Hechavarria at shortstop, it appears Furcal is being brought in to provide depth at SS and possibly to play 2B. It seems that the discussion is whether or not Donovan Solano and Derek Dietrich is a long term solution and the signing of Furcal may indicate the Marlins are looking to move in a new direction.
