The Marlins aim to sweep the Padres in San Diego and return to .500.

First pitch is set at 4:05 PM ET at Petco Park. Ricky Nolasco will be the starting pitcher for Miami. In his last start, which was a win against the Giants in San Francisco, he allowed 1 run on 7 hits with 1 strikeout and a walk in 7 innings. Joe Wieland will get the start for San Diego. Wieland is still looking for his first major league win. He’s currently 0-4 with an ERA of 4.91.

In the last 5 years, Ricky Nolasco is 3-2 with a 5.82 ERA with a WHIP of 1.38 and 36 strikeouts against the San Diego Padres. While Joe Wieland has never face the Marlins in his career.
