Statement Series
So sorry for the lame music, but this vintage ’80s tune is a perfect theme song for how these Marlins are playing right now. Who dey? Who dey? Who dey think gonna beat them Marlins!?!?! Woo Hoo! I don’t know why I found it neccessary to revive a classic Cincinnati Bengals chant, but it certainly fits. Two out of three from the Phillies, and we did it our way, with the long ball and the walkoff hit! JJ looked great, and the Boys in Teal kept battling against a tough Cole Hamels. Hermida hit his second homer in as many games, Cody also went yard, but the hero of the day most definately is Jorge Cantu, with his walk off bases loaded single off the wall in left, just barely missing a grand salami. Unfortunately, the Mets beat Cincy in extras this afternoon, so we sit a half game back of the Mutts and the Pharies for first in the East. Good crowds in the stands this whole weekend, as Marlins fans in South Florida all thumb their noses at Norm Braman and all the haters out there trying to kill off our dream of a new ballpark. Seven wins in our last 10 games, 6 games over .500, sounds good to me! Get ready, Marlin fans, because we are in for what could be one of the most exciting stretch runs in our 15 year history.

Thanks for the updates, Nolesmarlins. You know I am here in Italy but got to stay updated on our Marlins! Glad to see we stuck it to the Phillies as I was starting to worry about our standing in the standings!
Forza!!!
